There are still Packers’ shares available. The team said, at last count, they’ve sold 110 thousand shares, at 300 dollars-a-piece. That’s just over 36 million-dollars so far. The last time Green Bay sold shares, back in 2010, it took a few weeks for fans to snap them all up. Green Bay says this round of shares will be available until February 25th, or until shares run-out.

Slow Down for High Bridge

The timeline to reopen the High Bridge is getting longer. Eau Claire City Engineer Leah Ness says crews have found more damage to the bridge’s piers, and says it will take more time to fix them. The bridge has been closed since the summer because of damage to the piers that hold it up. Eau Claire says there’s now a webcam where people can track the progress of the work. Taking the Lid Off Cannery District Plans

Plans for the Cannery District are taking a step forward. The Eau Claire Redevelopment Authority on Wednesday finalized an agreement with a local developer to build two, 130-unit apartment buildings in the area along the river. The project has a 58 million-dollar price tag, and Eau Claire will likely kick-in five million-dollars in tax breaks to make it happen. Local leaders hope some of the new apartments qualify as affordable housing.

Fort McCoy Preps for Winter

Commanders at Fort McCoy say over 90 percent of the more than nine thousand Afghan refugees who are still at the base have a winter coat. The base is getting ready for winter. Political Lines Drawn in Political Map Redraw

The battle over Wisconsin’s new political boundaries is headed for court. As expected, Governor Tony Evers yesterday vetoed the maps drawn by Republican lawmakers. The governor says they are gerrymandered, and give the Republicans too much of an advantage. The Republican maps passed because both Republicans and Democrats voted against the governor’s so-called People’s Maps. The veto ensures that a court will decide the state’s boundaries for the state legislature and Congress. But no one is saying when that will happen.

WI DHS Reporting Vaccine Data Again

Wisconsin’s public health managers are once again reporting on the number of coronavirus shots that are going into arms. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday updated its vaccine dose count for the first time in two weeks. The numbers show doctors and nurses are handing-out about 27 thousand doses per-week, and that just about 58 percent of people in the state have gotten at least one dose. Wausau Babysitter Pleads No Contest

A Wausau babysitter pleads no contest in connection to the death of a baby she was caring for.  Marissa Tietsort was charged in 2019 and entered her plea today.  An autopsy revealed the baby suffered multiple blunt-force injuries to his head.  A plea deal reduced her charge from intentional homicide to reckless homicide for which she will be sentenced in March.

Jury Deliberations Continue, Judge Bans MSNBC

The Kyle Rittenhouse jury is ending deliberations for the day.  The 12 member-panel did not reach a verdict in the case and will deliberate for a fourth day on Friday.  The deliberations continue while the judge considers a defense motion to dismiss because the prosecution allegedly held video footage of the shooting and brought up previously barred evidence.  Rittenhouse is accused of killing two men and injuring a third during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin last year. DNR Asks for Deer Donations
