Study Looks Into Well Pollution, “Mooo”ving Blame

Two of Wisconsin’s largest dairy groups say a new study shows you cannot blame cows for all of the polluted wells in western Wisconsin. The Venture Dairy Cooperative and the Wisconsin Dairy Alliance yesterday said the latest Southwest Wisconsin Groundwater and Geology report from the University of Wisconsin shows that twice as many wells were contaminated by people than by cows. The search for a missing Menomonie man continues on the Red Cedar River. Originally, a call came in on May 17th at At 3:23 p.m., multiple agencies responded to Riverside Park, 890 Hudson Road in the City of Menomonie. MKE Sees Multiple Weekend Shootings

Milwaukee’s weekend shooting total may grow. Police say six people were shot and wounded between Friday night and early yesterday morning. Yesterday’s shooting victim was a 13-year-old girl. Milwaukee Police say a 16-year-old boy was wounded in a double shooting Saturday. All of the victims survived. Milwaukee Police say they are looking for suspects in each of the shooting cases.

One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in La Crosse. It happened about 1:30 yesterday morning on the city’s south side. Police say the person who died had been shot several times. There’s no word about suspects or a motive in the case.

WI Coronavirus Cases Continue to Climb

Wisconsin is starting the week with about 350 people in the hospital with the coronavirus. The state’s Hospital Association on Friday said 343 people were hospitalized with the virus, including 53 in the ICU. Those numbers are about where they were to start the week last week.
