On the evening of Thursday, Aug. 21, a full-scale exercise will occur at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport. This exercise will involve emergency crews from Eau Claire Fire Department, the Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) crews, additional surrounding fire and EMS agencies, and emergency management personnel from Chippewa and Eau Claire Counties. Read MoreThe search for a suspect being sought since Friday has ended. Police in Vernon County responded to a location that day with reports of a man who was wanted on an arrest warrant. Police say that Nathan Gossman and another suspect fled the scene, leading officers in a high-speed chase. The other individual was later arrested. Gossman has since been arrested in his native Minnesota.
