The World’s Largest Brat Fest is officially underway in Madison. The festivities got underway this morning with Take Your Brat to Work Day. Read MoreThe pilot of the small plane that went down in a backyard in Wauwatosa is fighting for his life. Police say the plane crashed into a yard on the city’s north side yesterday afternoon. The crash happened just across the street from Timmerman Airport on Milwaukee’s northwest side. The 18-year-old pilot was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators are not guessing at what caused the plane to go down.

The fire happened at a home just south of the city’s downtown. No people were hurt. A total of seven fire trucks and 18 firefighters fought the fire. There’s no word on a cause just yet.
