University of Wisconsin Health is asking Wisconsin residents to register as organ donors.  UW Health says April is Donate Life Month and it’s goal is to help people who need organ transplants increase their chances of getting them.  UW Health says there are about 15-hundred people in Wisconsin who need an organ transplant.

A Community Mourns, Investigation Continues

Police in Chippewa Falls continue the search for a suspect in the murder of a ten-year-old girl, whose body was found yesterday morning in a wooded area near Duncan Creek Trail.  The girl — Iliana Peters, otherwise known as Lily — was reported missing by her father Sunday night.  She attended the fourth grade at Parkview Elementary School.  Police have not yet released any details about the cause of death.  They warn that because no suspect is in custody yet,

Police in Eau Claire say a man has been charged with selling drugs from his clothing store and making threats with a gun inside his business.  The storeowner — 42-year-old Duane Perkins of Eau Claire —  has been charged in Eau Claire County Court with seven charges of felony drug possession and sales. WI Sees Uptick in New Coronavirus Cases

Panel Looks to Address Needs of WI Veterans

Construction Begins on New Event Center

Construction has formally begun on the Sonnentag Event Center in Eau Claire with the groundbreaking at the site on Menomonie Street.  The Sonnentag Event Center is part of the County Materials Complex.  John and Mary Sonnentag were on hand for the ceremony yesterday.  They donated 70-million dollars toward the 107-million dollar project, which will be the largest indoor event complex in northwest Wisconsin.  It will replace Zorn Arena and is expected to be finished by 2024.
