Add Wisconsin’s governor to the list of people pushing for year-round E-15 sales. Governor Tony Evers signed-on to a letter from seven other Midwestern states asking the Biden Administration to green light the sale of more ethanol fuel. Evers says allowing for more E-15 sales will help during the time of “continued supply chain disruptions and rising inflation.” The hope is that more E-15 sales will drive down the price at the pump for more people here in the state.

Eau Claire County’s district attorney yesterday said 43-year-old Demetrio Jackson died from a heart attack, likely brought-on by a heart condition and lethal amount of meth. Jackson died in the hospital about two weeks after he was arrested back in October for standing on top of a car and screaming along Harlem Street. The D.A. says the officers involved will not be charged in the case.

The new poll, released this week, says 58 percent of voters in Wisconsin support the idea of ending limits on vouchers for private or religious schools. That would open up school choice to more than just low-income families in many parts of Wisconsin. The poll says 33 percent of voters oppose the idea. The state’s Hospital Association yesterday said 203 people are hospitalized with the virus, including 35 in the ICU. Wisconsin’s hospitalization numbers have ticked-up this month after hitting a low of just under 150 in March.
