Eau Claire Police arrest one person for a traffic incident that resulted in a shooting. Just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, Officers from the Eau Claire Police Department responded to the area of Melby Street and North Hastings Way for a reported shooting. One person was shot after a traffic dispute. Officers located a victim who sustained a single gunshot wound. That includes a triple shooting on Saturday and a triple shooting on Sunday. Just one person, a 16-year-old, died in one of the triple shootings.
