Business owners in Wisconsin are worried about the future. Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the state’s largest business group, yesterday said over 70 percent of businesses in the state expect to see a recession in the next year. WMC’s Nick Novak says business owners think Wisconsin’s economy is doing well, but they have little faith in the national economy. Businesses in Wisconsin are also worried about inflation and the price and reliability of electricity.

The state Supreme Court ruled today the state constitution lets Chrystul Kizer’s lawyers tell a jury she was trafficked by Randall Volar in 2018. Kizer told Kenosha police she killed Volar because she became tired of him touching her. Kenosha County DA Michael Graveley posted on Facebook in 2019 they never had any evidence suggesting Kizer was trafficked by Volar.

Police yesterday said 29-year-old Jonathan Peacock was killed while walking down Highway 12 early Sunday morning. Altoona Police say 35-year-old Brendan Barkovich is the one who hit him.
