DING! THE CAPTAIN HAS TURNED ON THE “EMERGENCY DRILL” SIGN….

A heads up if you are near our aiport tomorrow, it might look like there is an emergency.

On Tuesday, August 13 emergency service and disaster response personnel will take part in training and a mock airport disaster drill. The
training will start around 2:00 PM on Tuesday and continue throughout the afternoon, with the mock disaster drill wrapping up around 7:30 PM Tuesday evening.
During this event, you may notice increased emergency activity in the area including: response personnel, emergency vehicles with warning lights activated and smoke and fire from simulation equipment. As this is a planned and coordinated training event, the public should not call 9-1-1 to report or ask about an incident at the airport.

Additionally, no one should stop on nearby roads as that will impact normal traffic flow as well as impede emergency crews that are in the area for this training.
