The man who killed three members of his own family then murdered a complete stranger called her and her father about a week before killing her.
Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says Ritchie German Jr. called Laile Vang and her father on July 18th. Both calls were less than a minute and came between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m.
The sheriff says German killed Laile Vang ten days later on July 28th. It’s still not clear how German got her name or number.
Laile Vang will be buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls around 10:00 this morning.
