Photos of those arrested on OWI charges are going onto social media in Dodge County.
The images are being posted on the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the move is one more way to deter people from operating a vehicle while under the influence. Sheriff Schmidt says perhaps public shaming will keep some people from drinking and driving since the laws against it and the severe consequences don’t work for everyone.
Nearly 120 OWI arrests were made in the county in July including three deaths.
