The state of Wisconsin says 27-thousand people in the state could lose their food stamps if the rules for automatic enrollment are changed.
President Trump wants to limit the flexibility that states have in offering benefits to people who make more than 130-percent of the federal poverty level. The White House says state’s have abused that flexibility. DHS’s Jim Jones says the loss estimate is about nine-percent of the nearly 310-thousand people in Wisconsin who are on food stamps.
