There’s a new push to get more Amtrak service in western Wisconsin.
The West Central Wisconsin Rail Coalition is talking about bringing four trains-per-day to the line between Eau Claire and Minneapolis-St. Paul. The coalition’s Scott Rogers says it will take a public-private partnership, which means taxpayers will likely have to foot some of the bill. Rogers says the coalition thinks there’s enough interest in train travel to fill the trains.
