A Menomonie woman may go to prison after being convicted of abusing her child.
Reports say a jury found Kristine Buttke not guilty of child abuse on Wednesday but Buttke was found guilty of causing mental harm. Buttke was accused of making her ten-year-old sleep on the basement floor without a bed and making the child use the bathroom on the floor.
She’ll be sentenced in August and she’s facing more than twelve years in prison.
