La Crosse County may be willing to chip-in and help pay for the city of La Crosse’s convention center.
County administrator Steve O’Malley last night suggested using some of the county’s premier resort area tax to pay for the city-owned convention center. City leaders want to update and expand the center. O’Malley says it may be tough to convince county leaders to spend road money on a city-owned building, but he said it’s an idea worth exploring.
