The top Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature say they want to find a way to cut taxes for middle class families by 400-million-dollars.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald yesterday said they’re still working toward a final price tag for the tax cuts. They also didn’t say how they plan to cut taxes by that much. Governor Evers vetoed a tax cut proposal from Republicans shorty after he took office in January.
That plan was based on using the state’s surplus to pay for the cuts.
