Weather officials are confirming at least one tornado touched down in Waukesha County on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service said yesterday the tornado came down in Sussex during a string of severe storms that developed in southeastern Wisconsin, but didn’t define the impact of it. It is the 46th tornado to touch down in Wisconsin this year, which is tied for the second-most in a year. Several tornado warnings were issued Tuesday during the severe weather, bringing down several trees in Milwaukee and other areas.
