The National Weather Service has confirmed three tornadoes in southeast Wisconsin this week. Officials say the strongest was an EF-1 tornado in Somers Thursday evening with peak winds of 100 miles per hour.
The tornado heavily damaged two barns and uprooted trees in Kenosha County. EF-0 tornadoes were confirmed Wednesday in Lomira and near Eden, where homes, mobile homes, trees, and a barn were damaged. Forecasters say much of the remaining storm damage across Kenosha County was caused by straight-line winds.
