Traffic Violation Leads to 6th OWI

Phillipp Schiavi, 59 years of age, from Kenosha, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 94 westbound at milepost 89 near Osseo for unsafe lane deviation.

Upon contact, the Trooper observed the driver showing signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed the driver was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. The driver was arrested and transported to a local hospital where a legal blood draw was conducted, then later turned over to the Trempealeau County Jail. The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated- sixth offense, possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle, failure to install an ignition interlock device, reckless driving, and possession of psilocybin.
