That’s Our Bob! Legendary Farm Director to be Inducted into the WI FFA Fall of Fame

WAXX 104.5 Farm Director and longtime FFA advocate Bob Bosold will be inducted into the Wisconsin FFA Hall of Fame on June 17 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

The Wisconsin FFA Hall of Fame was established in 1995 to honor individuals who have made lifelong contributions to the FFA organization. Hall of Fame inductees are recognized for serving FFA in ways that are exceptionally impactful and enduring.

Bosold’s nearly five decades of dedication to agricultural education and youth leadership make him a deserving recipient of this honor. His stewardship, direction, and production of WAXX 104.5’s weekly FFA broadcasts over several decades, along with his support of regional, state, and national FFA and FFA Alumni leadership programs, have helped strengthen the organization and inspire generations of young people involved in agriculture.

A 49-year veteran of WAXX 104.5, Bosold joined the station in 1977 and has become one of the most respected voices in agricultural broadcasting. He is a member of both the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.

His many honors include receiving the Wisconsin Honorary FFA Degree and the American Honorary FFA Degree in 1993, as well as the Wisconsin FFA Distinguished Service Award in 2003.

In addition to his broadcasting and agricultural achievements, Bosold has served on the judging panels for the National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Awards and the Country Music Association (CMA) National Station of the Year Awards.

The Wisconsin FFA Hall of Fame induction recognizes Bosold’s lifelong commitment to agriculture, agricultural education, and the success of Wisconsin’s FFA members.
