Leaders with the U.S. Postal Service are highlighting safety this June as part of Dog Bite Awareness Month.
Post office officials are urging dog owners to keep pets secured and away from the mail box when it is time for the mail to arrive. Over five-thousand dog bites involving mail carriers were reported across the country last year. This includes 20 incidents in Milwaukee alone.
