A judge is denying a change of venue request for the man accused of causing the death of three-year-old Elijah Vue.
An attorney for Jesse Vang made motions to move his trial out of Manitowoc County or select a jury from outside the county; both of which were rejected during a hearing yesterday. Vang was charged with physical abuse of a child, hiding a corpse, and chronic child neglect after Vue went missing in February of 2024 and was found dead months later. Vang’s trial is tentatively scheduled for the early part of next year.
