As we turn the calendar page into a new month, we also turn the page into a new idea that goes way beyond the Dewey Decimal System and has these dads shelved in the category of “AWESOME.”
A group of Atlanta fathers known as the “Library Dads” is helping kids fall in love with reading by turning regular library visits into community bonding events. It all began with one dad reading to his infant daughter and now it has grown into group gatherings where dads and kids read together and build friendships.
Some of the dads talk about the “Library Dads” and how the mission goes beyond just the book in their hands or the kid in their home.
A story that certainly guarantees a happily ever after!
