WET WEATHER, BUT FIRE DANGER STILL HIGH

The wet spring is doing nothing to end the fire worries in western Wisconsin.  The state’s Department of Natural Resources is keeping all of western Wisconsin under a high fire danger warning.  DNR reported four wildfires over the weekend.  One of them in Portage County.  The state is reminding people they need a burn permit for anything other than a backyard fire.

And on that note…Investigators in Chippewa Falls want to know how the propane tank at Chippewa Falls High School ended-up on fire.  Firefighters found the fire Saturday evening, and were able to put out the flames.  Police and fire officials say no one was hurt.  School should be open as usual today.  Fire investigators are not saying what, or who, caused the fire.
