Jury Finds Man Guilty of Killing WI Police Officer

A Milwaukee County jury finds 23-year-old Tremaine Jones guilty of killing a police officer and wounding another.

Prosecutors say Jones fired 16 rounds from a rifle after being called to a dispute in 2025.  Officer Kendall Corder was killed during the shooting, while Officer Christopher McCray was wounded.  Defense attorneys argued there was no direct evidence proving Jones fired the weapon and that he acted out of fear.  Jones was convicted on Friday, and is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
