Richard Howard Pechuman, 48 years of age, from Ham Lake has been arrested by the Wisconsin
State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense.
Wisconsin State Troopers were dispatched to a report of a wrong-way driver on Interstate 94 near
Black River Falls in Jackson County. Troopers located and stopped a vehicle traveling westbound in
the eastbound lanes near Mile Post 115. Upon contact, troopers noticed a strong odor of intoxicants
and found an open container of alcohol in the center console. After administering field sobriety tests,
the driver was arrested for fourth-offense Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated (OWI) and
transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
