Looking Local: UW-River Falls hosting free Frances Cohler Coffee Concert Series

The University of Wisconsin–River Falls has released the spring 2026 schedule for the free Frances Cohler Coffee Concert Series featuring a wide variety of musical performances by university faculty and special guests. The series includes performances on piano, cello, woodwinds, harpsichord, violin and vocals. Concerts take place at noon on Fridays in Abbott Concert Hall in  Kleinpell Fine Arts, 420 E. Cascade Ave., River Falls. Concerts are free and open to the public. 

Concert series events for the spring include: 

  • Friday, Feb. 6: Ivan Konev, piano, and friends. 
  • Friday, Feb. 27: UWRF Woodwind Faculty Ensemble. 
  • Friday, March 13: “Duo Mythos in Early Music,” featuring Momoko Tanno, soprano, and Asako Hirabayashi, harpsichord. 
  • Friday, April 3: Laura Caviani Jazz Trio and Natalia Moiseeva, violin. 
  • Friday, May 1: “Edvard Grieg in Dialogue,” featuring Oda Voltersvik, piano.
