January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, Public Webinar Scheduled

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month and the Wisconsin Department of Justice is sharing critical data.

In 2024, the National Trafficking Hotline received 277 contacts from Wisconsin, leading to 111 cases involving 181 victims.  The state DOJ said most cases involved sex trafficking of adult women.  The Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force will host a public webinar on Wednesday, January 21st, from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration is available online for those interested in learning more about trafficking and resources available to survivors in the state.
