Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden says he will be absent from the House for the next few days as he spends time with his wife who is undergoing a surgical procedure.
No other details about Mrs. Van Orden’s health have been released. In a statement, the congressman says he is thankful for the understanding and support of his colleagues and constituents as his family deals with his wife’s serious medical issue.
