Crews were on site of a fire at 300 William St. in Eau Claire. The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Tuesday afternoon. On arrival, smoke conditions were found on the 1st floor and tenants were evacuating. A smoldering fire was located in one of the apartments and quickly extinguished.
Crews ventilated the structure and were able to have all tenants return to the building within an hour.
No injuries were reported.
