Authorities are continuing to remind folks about the importance of safe driving with deer being active throughout the state.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says a young driver was behind the wheel of a vehicle that crashed recently on State Highway 56 in the Town of Jefferson when they swerved to avoid hitting a deer. No one was hurt. Wisconsin State Patrol warns drivers to be especially cautious and scan the road ahead to prevent dangerous crashes.
