Sentencing is being ordered for a Western Wisconsin man convicted following an officer-involved shooting in Eau Claire.
Thomas Burback was shot on May 25th of 2024 when an officer responding to a disturbance call says the defendant pointed a handgun at them. Burback recently pleaded no contest to charges including failure to comply with an officer’s attempt to take a person into custody. He has now been sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison.
