Speeding Leads to OWI for WI Woman

Lozza Marie Gronskei, 46 years of age, from Maple, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16. 

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding, traveling 70 m.p.h. in a 55-m.p.h. zone on Highway 2 at Highway 27, near Brule. The Trooper observed that the driver, Lozza Marie Gronskei, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ms. Gronskei was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. She was subsequently arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance while having a minor in the vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ms. Gronskei was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of her blood. She was then transported to the Douglas County Jail. The fifteen-year-old juvenile was left in the care of a family member.
