On Sunday October 26th, at approximately 2014 hrs. the Eau Claire Fire Department responded to 4400 LaSalle lot #83 for a report of a structure fire.
The initial caller reported smoke and flames coming form the structure and believed the home to be unoccupied. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the front and side of the home, immediately deployed hose lines, entered the building and extinguished the fire. Additional crews searched the structure which was found to be unoccupied.
Heavy smoke and fire damage was found throughout the entire home. 3 Engines, 1 Truck,1 Ambulance, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Inspector responded to the incident. 1 firefighter received an injury while performing firefighting duties.
The fire is currently under investigation.
