One person is dead following a Monday morning vehicle crash in Jackson County.
The accident happened shortly after 1 a.m. on State Highway 71 near the line with Monroe County. Authorities say the driver lost control near Cabin Avenue and hit a ditch and then a tree. They died at the scene.
