Man Who Wrote Threatening Letters Pleads Not Guilty

A man accused of framing another for threatening letters has pleaded not guilty in court.

Demetric Scott is alleged to have written to President Trump under the identity of Ramon Morales-Reyes.  Morales-Reyes was supposed to testify against Scott for a robbery that happened in 2023.  ICE agents then arrested him but found that his handwriting didn’t match what was on the letters.  Scott is charged with identity theft, witness intimidation and two counts of felony bail jumping.
