Traffic Stop Leads to OWI

Tyrionn Monae Johnson, 27 years of age, from Mishawaka, IN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with three children in the vehicle under the age of 16. 

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on Interstate 94 eastbound at milepost 56. The Trooper observed that the driver, Tyrionn Johnson, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ms. Johnson was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. She was subsequently arrested and charged with operating under the influence of a restricted controlled substance-1st offense with having passengers under 16 years old and possession of drug paraphernalia. The three minor passengers were left in the care of a social worker until family members arrived. Ms. Johnson was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of her blood, then turned over to the Dunn Co. Jail.
