UW-La Crosse is receiving state funding to aid in the continued development of its new science center.
The first of two buildings planned for the Prairie Springs Science Center opened seven years ago but the second building has remained unfunded. As part of the new state budget signed yesterday by Governor Tony Evers, 194-million dollars is being allocated for the project. Construction is expected to begin next spring.
