‘Sconnie Snuffs Out: Smoking Rates Fall in WI

Smoking rates are declining in Wisconsin. 

The Department of Health Services says the smoke-free indoor air law put in place almost 15 years ago is part of the reason why.  Along with smoking rates, DHS says the effects of secondhand smoke are also down in both adults and children.  Smoking rates in Wisconsin are currently twelve-percent for adults and three-percent for high schoolers.
