Bond has been set for a former school staffer accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
Authorities in Vernon County and the City of Reedsburg say a tip led them to begin investigating Ashley Benson back in June on allegations involving a student victim. Benson was arrested Monday in Vernon County on charges including sexual assault of a student by school staff, 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, and sex with a child 16 or older. Bond for Benson was set yesterday at five-thousand dollars.
