Flags Lowered to Honor Fallen Officer

Flags will be at half-staff across Wisconsin today to honor Milwaukee Officer Kendall Corder who died after being shot on duty.

Corder and his partner responded to reports of shots fired last Thursday and were shot in what the Milwaukee Police Department calls an ambush.  Corder was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died yesterday afternoon.  The other officer, Christopher McCray, has been released from the hospital.  Flags will be lowered until tomorrow at sunset to honor Officer Corder, as well as the date of his interment, which has not been announced.
