Affordable housing is the focus of state funding and that trickles down to the local level.
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, along with Governor Tony Evers, announced over two-point-five-million dollars is being awarded to projects in Dane, Milwaukee and Chippewa County. The money comes from the Vacancy-to-Vitality and Infrastructure Access Loan Programs. Overall, the grants will pay for over 120 workforce housing units across the state.
