The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire shortly after 7pm this evening. Fire crews arrived on Germania St. to find smoke showing from the rear of the structure and found an interior room on fire.
The fire was extinguished while additional crews searched the remainder of the house to ensure everyone was out and accounted for. It was determined all occupants had evacuated prior to the arrival of the first fire units. Crews ventilated smoke from both levels of the house and checked for any extension of fire. The fire was contained to a single room with minimal smoke damage to the adjacent rooms.
No injuries have been reported at the time of this release.
