Budget talks between Democratic Governor Tony Evers and Republicans in the state legislature were put on hold today.
The Joint Finance Committee’s executive session was scheduled at 1 p.m., but was paused just minutes before it was supposed to start. Negotiations started up again earlier this week. A new budget will have to be decided by the end of this month, otherwise state funding will continue as is.
