Attorney General Josh Kaul is joining 54 attorneys general in the billion dollar settlement agreement against Purdue Pharma.
The settlement is a response to the company’s alleged role in worsening the opioid crisis nationwide. The company owners say they plan on moving forward with the settlement. The state of Wisconsin and its cities would receive about 80 million dollars over 15 years. Kaul says the resolution will bring more resources to fight the opioid crisis.
