MN Suspected Shooter Has WI Ties

The man accused of shooting and killing a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband has ties to Wisconsin.

Investigators say 57-year-old Vance Boelter, the shooter who targeted two Minnesota lawmakers over the weekend, once owned a home in the town of Sheboygan. Those records show he bought the home in 2005 and sold it in 2014. Boelter’s LinkedIn profile suggests he was an operations leader at Johnsonville Sausage from 2004 to 2008, although the company has not confirmed his employment. The profile also shows that Boelter received two degrees from the now-shuttered Cardinal Stritch University in Fox Point.
