La Crosse is seeing an uptick in fires.
Officials with the La Crosse Fire Department say they typically have around 35 fires a year, but there have been 31 so far. Department officials say while there’s no main reason for the increase, they’re urging residents to take steps to avoid fires. This includes not being distracted while cooking and not overloading outlets.
