Local health officials are asking the public for information regarding the incident. Below are the details:

The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is asking for your help to find a dog that bit a girl Sunday, April 27, 2025, at around 4:40 p.m. The bite happened at 1160 Menomonie Street (Roadside Ice Cream and Diner).
The dog was described to be a German Shephard. The person with the dog was described a male in his late 20’s, early 30’s. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, a red zip up and had a red baseball hat on. We need to find this dog to determine its health and rabies status. If we don’t find this dog, it could bite again, and the bite victim may need to have a series of expensive injections to prevent rabies.If anyone has information about this dog, they should contact the Eau Claire Communications Center at 715-839-4972.
