Accused Wisconsin Child Abductor Waives Extradition In Nebraska Courtroom

A man accused of abducting a pregnant Beaver Dam teenager waived extradition in a Nebraska courtroom today.

Forty-year old Gary Day faces charges in three states along with federal charges.  Wisconsin and Arkansas prosecutors have both made extradition motions.  Day is pleading not guilty to two misdemeanors in Sarpy County, Nebraska, including delinquency of a minor and false reporting.  His bail was set at five-million-dollars.  Investigators say Day was arrested early last week after a 17-year-old girl pregnant with his baby was found with him at a travel center near Omaha. She was reported missing in February but is now re-united with her family.
