Sauk Co. Offers Hunting Options

It’s now easier for people with disabilities to go hunting.

Sauk County Parks & Recreation manager said the new hunting blind is now available for people in all-terrain wheelchairs to fit inside the 8×10 shelter and comfortably fit through the four-foot wide door.  A hunting blind is a type of shelter for hunters to help them blend into the environment to decrease detection.  The shelter has access to electric heat, outlets and lighting.   It’s located in White Mound County Park, costing eight-thousand dollars which was funded through grants and donations.  Those that hunt deer and turkey must carry a permit for people with disabilities to access the site.  For more information CLICK HERE.
